Destiny...

hmm???
Is there something like that?
A profound friend of mine always says, there are two kind of people in the world, one set of people who take life as it comes, and the second one who define life on their terms.
Ya, I do agree with him and I believe I belong to the first category.
I've always been a person who embraces whatever comes my way and accept life. And i'm a believer of destiny. I strongly feel someone somewhere is made just for me, people we meet, things we do, the roles we take up is all defined before (else, how do you explain Devegowda becoming prime minister ;-) ), and its upto us to go ahead from there. (Er.... am I sounding strange??!!??).
I love living a life as there is no tomorrow.
But the other set of people plan everything so much ahead of time. They know what/when/why they are doing things, coz everything is PLANNED. Lead a systematic life. Feel bad when things dont go their way, learn from the mistake, next time plan things in a more organized way, so on and so forth.

I sometimes wonder, am I being aloof about my own life? Am I running away from my responsibilities by just giving a mask of happy-go-lucky look? :-.
Naaaaah,.... It doesnt mean I dont plan for the future and work towards it, its just that I dont spend sleepless nights worrying about the future or brood about the past.
hmmph!!!!!

just thinking!!!

"Take life as it comes" is pretty true and lucky go type Attitude. Its simple, practical and pre-defined. I purely believe in this.
There's nothing like defining terms for life since u cant go ahead of future, u have no control over it and u cant remake past..so take life as it comes and u'll be the happiest person in the world. Since most of the indians believe in this philosophy thats why %age of happy people in india is the highest (^_*)

It feels nice to say
" Been there done it " than to never " Been there at all " and keep thinkin abt it ...
PS:But before doing it promise yourself that u'd never regret or feel guilty doing it...

what a blog ..very true! But I think both set of people expect too much in their life.Expectation is strange funda....
Expectations are like horizon, where sea touches the sky.Standing near the water and far from dipping sky, we see sea is touching the sky. We tend to believe, sea is indeed touching the sky, but it is not. Beauty of expectations is, unexpected always happen. Reality always proves us wrong. Truth often hurts. We tend to decide not to expect anything any more. But we forget the fact that, expectations inspires us in doing something. There is split second span between expectations and reality. Split second after outcome brings us to the world of reality. The knowledge and realization we get in that split second is enomourous. We often decide not to expect more about that thing, because of the knowledge we gained; often is this knowledge is perplexing, we believe we understood everything, but we know that truth. Doing work without expectation of result seems best approach. Closest examples come to mind is studying for exams. Getting involved in work to do something is the way to go. Thinking of work and entirety of an issue makes us forget about the result. That way we gain more than we expect. It would be wonderful if we could that in everything, but chance are less.
Finally, even if we believe we have what we expected, we tend to expect more out of it, only to fail to capture all of those expectations. Reaching at the horizon, we will observe, sea is not touching the sky here. But standing at the horizon, we again see, sea is indeed touching the sky. Our expectation will drag us to the new horizon.........

Hey ,
Firts time on your blog and loved the post!
Well in reality who knows which is the right approach to life--whats most important is you choose the road u are most comfortable with.
I may fall in the second category listed but am comfortable with it coz its ME!.....
As for destiny..well thats a million dollar question-is it or is it not!:-)

Destiny Vs Free will

Seeing you was destiny
gathering courage to meet
Free will
Destiny met free will
And time stood still

Destiny’s future
In her freewill
Still Time standing still ?!

Freewill met her destiny
Destiny spellbound with freewill
Free will’s destiny now
Destiny’s free will.

And Time stood smiling
