Dreams... hopes... possessiveness...

Beach...
WOW! It brings so many sweet thoughts in mind... long beach walks, playing in water, running in the sand, sitting on the shore talking to the nature, making sand castles.... ya...... Making sand castles is one of my favourite things to do...

You make the castle with utmost care...

It builds up into something which you wanted it to be...

It may not be looking good/making sense for people around you, but how should it matter?
Its your Masterpiece :)
and when someone tries to destroy it, why does it hurt so much?

It was from nowhere, If it gets destroyed, I can always create a new one... I have an ocean full of sand... I can always start afresh... Is it just that i'm Scared? Scared of what? Half an hour back there was nothing there..., Why do I get possessive about something which was never mine and feel bad when I get a sense of loosing it??? After I walk out from here, I know my castle is gonna break either by someone stamping on it or by a rattling wave...
Is it the dream which is getting shattered? Is it the hope that my castle will prevail for long? or is it just the possessiveness?
Sigh!

Well ...we build many castles in our life time. Though at that point they all may seem sturdy , we realize they are 'sand castles' and they were never meant to be forever!

Well, philosphically nothing belongs to us in this world! But, I know it is hard to keep us out of being possesive with something..When someone steals that from you, it is quite natural to feel disappointed..but that is life for you ...Life is not a bed of roses :)

I never build those castles, so cannot describe the exact feeling I would have. But I can imagine , how it would feel when your castle is distroyed, as it is the same as you build a house( stone by stone) and somebody tries to destroy it. Its heartening. The castle becomes your possession, it becomes your place , it shows your identity. It is your hope, it is your work, it is your world. and thats why it hurts.

But , castles will be build and distroyed in sands, lets build castles(of love and hope) in others heart which will remain alive till their last breadth.

U just made me recollect a beautiful poem by Rudyard Kipling - If

the lines specifically are...

...
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
...

Yup :) !! Bombat beach !

Hi,

i will host my photo of that being inside teh mud. i did it last time on dec 25th 2005 thee day before Tsunami. then some how i couldnt do that and actually didnt find or allot the time for my favorite meditation do you know - ofcourse you might not be knowing. when you are burried in a standing posture inside the beach shore - with out touching your heart with hands you could feel the heart beat. Your heart could feel the heart beat. this lured me and this simple feast of feelign the heart beat by the chest itself is a seducing feeling to me.
